  • Bayshore Municipal Golf  - 2795 Prairie Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33140, (305)674-0305, public. The longest hole on the course is 195 yards. This facility also includes a regulation eighteen hole course.
  • Country Club of Miami - 6801 Miami Gardens Dr, Miami, FL 33015, (305)829-8449, public. This club has outstanding eighteen hole regulation courses. The East Course requires shot placement and strategy from all skill levels. The West Course features rolling greens, lush fairways and treacherous sand bunkers.
  • Don Shula’s Golf Club - 7601 Miami Lakes Dr, Miami Lakes, FL 33014, (305)821-1150, resort. This club has an eighteen hole regulation course, and an eighteen hole par 3 course. The Eighteen Hole Regulation Course features narrow fairways and length. Half the fairways are tree lined, and all the holes are bordered by a thick cut of rough. There are some greenside sand bunkers on the course, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The Executive Course is actually an eighteen hole par 3 course.
  • Doral (pictured) - 4400 NW 87th Ave, Miami, FL 33178, (305)592-2030, resort. This resort has five outstanding eighteen hole courses. Playing these courses is considered to be the ultimate golfing experience. Since there are a variety of courses to choose from, every conceivable kind of challenge is available. The Blue Monster has been host to a prestigious annual PGA TOUR event for more than 40 years, currently the Ford Championship at Doral. The legendary course design by Dick Wilson features long fairways (totaling 7,125 yards from the tournament tees) with undulating greens and plenty of water hazards, bunkers and deep Bermuda rough. The famous 18th hole with its signature fountain is one of the most recognized symbols in golf.
  • Fontainebleau Park - 9603 Fontainebleau Blvd, Miami, FL 33172, (305)221-5181, public. This facility has two outstanding eighteen hole regulation courses. These courses have water hazards coming into play on numerous occasions. The West Course's signature hole is #7, a 612-yard, par 5. Both courses play feature similar designs. The fairways are generous, and the greens are medium in speed and size.
  • Haulover Beach Park Golf - 10800 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33154, (305)940-6719, public. This is a short, easy par 3 course that features narrow fairways and lined with many oak trees. Water hazards come into play on a few occasions, and some sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design.
  • Killian Greens Golf Club - 9980 SW 104th St, Miami, FL 33176, (305)271-0917, public. This well-maintained course has narrow fairways that are flat and easy to walk. The greens are slightly sloped and firm, so holding your shots on the greens will be difficult at times. In addition, canals and lakes come into play on four holes. Twilight rates are available any day after 2 PM.
  • Miami Beach Golf Club - 2301 Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33140, (305)532-3350, semi-private. One of the biggest challenges on this course is the water, which comes into play on several holes. This facility also includes a nine hole par 3 course. For additional information call the pro shop at (305) 532-3350.
  • Miccosukee Golf & Country Club - 6401 Kendale Lakes Dr, Miami, FL 33183, (305)382-3930, public. Formerly known as Miami National Golf Club, this facility has three individual nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. All the fairways are narrow due to an extremely thick cut of rough, however, there is only a scattering of trees that can affect your shots. Furthermore, the numerous sand bunkers on the course may cause problems for the average player, and water hazards come into play at every corner on all three courses. The terrain is fairly flat, but there is some slight mounding that can occasionally leave you with an uneven lie. The large greens are undulating, and fast. Many scenic views of the countryside can be seen throughout these courses.
  • Normandy Shores - 2401 Biarritz Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33141, (305)868-6502, public. This course features several dogleg fairways, and water hazards come into play on fourteen holes. Playing this course previously is a real advantage. Many of the water hazards are hidden from view.
  • Palmetto Golf Course - 9300 SW 152nd St, Miami, FL 33157, (305)238-2922, public. This course has water that comes into play on ten holes, including its signature hole, #3, a 435-yard, par 4.
